Music & Ambience

Even though it is often barely considered in idle-games, I believe background music can be a big part of a game's context.

In searching for good music that accurately reflects the multiple locations in Razor Trail Survivors I came upon the work of Stan Andosan.

We exchanged a few e-mails and a day later he was coming up with parts of a great soundtrack. It's still a work in progress and nothing is yet decided, but here are a couple of teasers for you:

I look forward to hearing your comments and feedback!

Probably no sound effects, just background music. Since it's not an action packed game, I think sound effects would not bring anything positive to the gameplay experience.

There will be a mute button on the settings menu, don't worry ;)

if you're going to add music and/or sound affects please add a mute button I usually listen to my own music while playing games.

Hi James and thanks a lot for your feedback! Even though we can't make it perfect for everyone, me and Stan will consider all opinions and try to adapt in order to make it as smooth as possible.

I do hope we can meet your expectations - frequent feedback does help a lot so thanks again!

I never expected music but it is a feature I personally love. It makes games more interesting sometimes but also has the ability to be annoying. Light ambience: I didn't like the squeaky noises of the 1st part but this is just personal taste, 2nd part was solid, 3rd and 4th were my favourite. Dark ambience: I liked the 1st part, the 2nd and the 3rd too but the ambient sounds were a bit too much. If this app is going to turn out like I imagine, I'm going to have a lot of fun!

I understand, but please note that those tracks are not meant to be played in sequence. Each track is actually a few different ambience sounds (for different locations) "glued" together for the sole purpose of showing them.

In any case there will be an option to mute all sounds of course ;)
